Working together, sweating together, for the good of the land, is what the founder of SWEATCo, John Dits, had in mind when he started the organization in 1996. Most people can testify to the fact that folks set aside their differences when a challenge is at hand, and John wanted to capitalize on this energy by forming an all-inclusive work group. SWEATCo has responded to natural resource improvement needs such as fence building, riparian area restoration, and installation of wildlife watering devices (called "guzzlers"). SWEATCo has afforded opportunities for families and individuals a safe and fun forum for land improvement activies in more remote areas around the Elko County region.
