Chairman, Kent McAdoo 738-7291

As stated in the NNSG Mission Statement, "we are dedicated to dynamic, science-based resolution of important issues related to resource stewardship and informed management of our public lands." Providing educational forums covering credible and timely science topics has been a priority since the group'ss inception. NNSG has also demonstrated scientific methods of data collection, monitoring and planning according to "adaptive management" principles. The next step of importance is to bring people to the land to observe conditions and provide starting points for discussion and resolution of problems.

The NNSG membership proposes that landscape restoration and sustainable ecosystems are most likely to be established in northeastern Nevada by working collaboratively, and from sound scientific premises. Kent McAdoo, a Natural Resources Specialist with the UNR Cooperative Extension (Northeastern area), has directed the Pod's focus on current natural resource topics and presenters that compliment NNSG's emphasis on ecosystem management.
